Rally to Restore Sanity

Hello my lovelies, I'm sorry I have left you without the pleasure of my company for so long. Midterms were upon me along with my full time job, leaves little time to do the things I actually like. Such has it was I found time to watch the rally to restore sanity... and it was awesome. Proof once and for all that America is not as doomed as I thought it was, and giving me hope for my country.

Plus, the signs were Freekin Awesome... here are some of my favorites.

So there you are my lovelies I will try much harder to post regularly this month. Till then stay sane.

Wicked Boston

I'm notoriously difficult to shop for, thus my mother consistently buys me musical tickets, this year we finally went to see Wicked which I was waiting to see for around three years, and as we would say in New England it was wicked pisser.

So on Sunday we made the trek down to Boston and by some odd miracle found parking for only ten dollars within a block of the Boston Opera House. (which by the way is absolutely gorgeous when it doesn't have 100 people crammed in there like sardines)

And to top off what should have been a fantastically perfect day we had the perfect seats for people as vertically challenged as my mother and I, right here:

Ah yes It was to a truly stupendous day full of the songs that I had been listening to on my Ipod for three years, live and by professionals. It was like that too.... Until defying gravity. For those of you that don't know defying gravity is in my opinion the most powerful piece in the play and my personal favorite. Just then a small voice two rows back starts to sing along... and I could feel my eye start to twitch.

In my mind I was constantly shooting this little brat who insisted on singing along with a long bow, over and over and over (yes, in my mind I DO look like Kiera Knightley) Unfortunately I did not a) have a long bow b) look like Keira Knightley or c) have the ability to shoot said girl without being removed from the opera house and miss the rest of the play anyway.

So I sat through the rest of the play plus one singer that the play neither wanted nor needed. The actors were great, the set and costumes beautiful, and the intended singers super talented. However should you ever be attending a musical and someone in your party decides to sing along do us all a favor and tell them to shut the hell up. Because next time.... I will have that longbow.

Gluten... WTF

So I went to my doctor the other day so we could go over all the lovely stuff that came out of the blood tests that I had taken a few days previous.

(background note: my body has issues digesting... well anything as far as I can tell and the blood tests were to figure out what was wrong.)

...Turns out I'm vitamin B-12 deficient
-"ok no problem I'll grab some vitamins at CVS and go on my merry way"
- "eh... not I want you to start a gluten free diet"
-"come again?"

For those of you that don't know gluten is, it is a protein found in most grains, so this means no delicious bread products for me.

Basically the lack of B12 can be indicative of a gluten allergy and while I'm waiting for a Gastrointerology appointment it could make the tummy hurty stop.

One small problem, 90% of my diet is Gluten based.

So I get to go from this:
To this:

Plus I work in a gluten lovers heaven (or now that I think about it... hell) surrounded by the arouma of glutony goodness

So now I go to find food that I can eat and try out my new (and not so improved) diet

To avoid further clogging this blog with my gluten madness I have a new one for anyone interested you can find it at www.me-glutenfree.blogspot.com

Damn I really need a cookie....
